Workshop on Collaboration for Cultural Heritage Study

Department of Culture and Dzongkha Development (DCDD), Ministry of Home Affairs together with the ArchiHeritage plus organized the “Workshop on Enhancement of Collaboration on Cultural Heritage Studies in Bhutan (between the DCDD and constituent & affiliate technical colleges, Royal University of Bhutan)” in 3rd and 4th August 2023. In this workshop, stakeholders from both the sectors of culture and education gathered to discuss where these two sectors can collaborate in the future to promote education and research related to heritage sites. As part of this project, a roadmap was drafted with the aim of strengthening heritage site education within CST’s curriculum. During the workshop, this roadmap was further examined and the final version was unanimously approved. Professor Yukio Nishimura, Kokugakuin University, Japan was invited as a guest speaker to share his recent experiences, including the establishment of the new faculty, and engage in discussions with the participants.
